TIPS ABOUT BOARDING SCHOOL

Hi peeps this is my first blog post and you guys don’t know me yet but you will once you go to the about me page down there. I hope you enjoy this and I promise to give you the best content ever.

 


What is boarding school?

  • It is a residential school where students live at school during the academic year. I know that some parents love boarding school cause you want to get rid of your child not in a bad way like my mom feels the same. I want to know why do parents love boarding school so much? But, that is a topic for another day.


Disadvantages of boarding school

Some disadvantages of boarding school are very concerning but some not like I wanted to go to boarding school but my mom would tell me do you have the money and I would be like no?

So here are some disadvantages:

  • Stress- not from you but from your parents cause who would want to let their little egg go no parent wants to do that.

  • Missing home- you are going to miss home each and every day, you are going to be going homesick and let me tell you something it’s not nice at all.

  • Less free time- in boarding school you almost don’t have free time at all because everything is homework and academics it is tough.

  • Making a decision- making a decision to do stuff is very hard cause you have to think about the outcomes and if your parents are not there every single time then how will you co-operate.

  • Lots of homework- when you are at boarding school homework is a lot because you are staying there so they keep you busy with homework that is not dope at all.


Benefits of boarding school

  • Challenging academics- when you are there academics are very nice cause you find people very interesting and challenging.

  • Peer learning- you learn about different stuff about you age.

  • Smaller classes- you have more learning opportunities talk to your teachers with what you don’t understand well.

  • A learning atmosphere

  • Co- curricular activities are a lot

  • Social maturity


The use of cell phones  

  • Some schools allow cell phones and some.

  • If cell phones are allowed you do not have the each and every time there is a specific period where they take the phones.

How to prepare yourself

  • Maintain good hygiene

  • Connect with your roommates

  • Use your time wisely

  • Listen to your dorm parents and teachers

  • Explore of campus

  • Learn to manage your time

  • Learn to manage your homesickness

  • Have fun
